Whim Digital marketing – Selected works

During my time at MaaS Global I've had the chance to work on dozens of campaigns all of which included digital marketing to some extent. So below are examples of some of the assets I've created for those campaigns what were the main things to consider creating them.

City Bike Season 2022

For this years City Bike Season advertising campaign we wanted to highlight all the various benefits the user gets by opting to use city bikes through Whim. Here we also had changed the approach of the offer compared to previous years by offering travel credit instead of giving out discounts. In the single ad versions I wanted to grab the attention by using our bold yellow brand colour liberally as it also connects with colour of the city bikes.

Whim Flex – Dynamic Summer Car – Carousel ads for FB/IG

For the spring of 2020 we launched a new seasonal campaign in Whim – Whim Flex. The chosen price point for the promotion was at 2 weeks. It was deduced that that length would be interesting for anyone planning early summer vacations as most people wanted/had to stay in Finland.

Autumn campaign 2021

After the Summer of 2021 there again the return to daily routines in uncertain conditions. We knew that some people still wanted to or at least had to return to using public transport and we wanted as big of a part of those people to choose Whim as possible. We had shifted our user acquisition strategy a bit from offering discounts to offering travel credit so we in the campaign offer we went big with that. This meant that in order for the user to make use of the campaign offer they would need use the product. So the campaign offer of €40 travel credit was brought to the center stage in the campaign creatives. We also wanted the users to understand what the money can be used for so that was also included as a short text in the creatives.

In the creatives I chose to highlight the users of Whim to make the ads more relatable. Combined with the images was a copy advertising the product. In the second image I highlighted the main campaign offer not just by putting the amount big and bold in the center but also visually by using bill-like element as a frame for the amount of travel credit.
